The conversation above mainly relates to teachers’ different thoughts about a good student. Mary dislikes students asking too many questions. Actually, quiet students are her preference. To John, it is quite the opposite. In his eyes, making mistakes is a natural process of learning.
In my mind, good students should be active in thinking, raising questions where difficulty lies. Meanwhile, they can be good listeners whenever they are supposed to be quiet. Whoever is modest, co-operative and creative is well received by us students, as well. Students with wonderful academic performance are not necessarily the best. They shall be those with all–around talents.
