   I still remember how I become independent because of an unforgettable experience. One day, I got a chance to go to my uncle’s home in Beijing alone. Never before had I gone to a place on my own. But I decided to have a try. First, I searched for the information of the route online. Next, I packed up some necessities and carried enough money in case I would be in desperate need. Then, I always kept in touch with my family during the journey. Whenever I was in trouble, I would turn to a policeman or a warm-hearted passer-by for help. Eventually, I arrived at my uncle’s home safely. Tired as I was, I felt very happy. Because it was the first time that I had succeeded in traveling by myself.
   It is independence that makes who I am today. Since we have to face many challenges and difficulties in the future on our own, it’s essential for us to be independent from now on.
